European Flyers has announced the largest training centre for aviation and helicopters in southern Europe, a new base of operations located in Alicante, at Mutxamel airfield.
The brand new headquarters is the hub of an ambitious project that will respond to the demand for training of more than 550,000 new jobs commercial pilots, according to forecasts the famous aircraft manufacturer Boeing, will be needed worldwide over the next twenty years. In addition to the best estimates on the expected demand of new pilots over the medium term, the training academy says that last year’s data on growth in the number of passengers on commercial airlines casts a hopeful future for the industry.
European Flyers cites the results of International Consolidated Airlines Group (IAG), the parent company of British Airways, Iberia, Vueling and Aer Lingus, which saw a 14% increase in the number of passengers carried, compared to the previous year.
