Wings Alliance graduates continue to secure job with airlines

Graduates from the Wings Alliance continue to secure jobs with airlines including Flybe, Thomas Cook and Stobart. The latest graduate to gain employment is Michael Windsor who received news that he had been offered a job with Thomas Cook.

The Wings Alliance is a trade association for leading commercial flight training organisations, and ensures consistent and high quality training for pilot students aiming for an ATPL via the modular route.

“I would recommend individuals to look at the Wings Alliance,” said Michael. “I feel it really improved my chances of securing a job. The support and guidance I received was excellent and the Airline Pilot Certificate (APC) course is specifically designed to increase your chances of securing a job on the flight deck. It worked for me.

“The course was fantastic. It was well thought through and effectively run, from selection through to placement. All the elements of the APC built upon each other and I am very confident that the skills I developed on the APC course will give me a good grounding for succeeding on the flight deck at Thomas Cook.”

Michael trained through the modular route as he did not have the access to the funds required for training via the full-time integrated route. Michael wanted to continue to work part-time to help fund his training.

“As a result of passing the Wings Alliance APC course,” said Michael, “I gained a place on the IAGO Platinum Pilot Scheme. I received confirmation I had passed their Selection and Sim Assessment and I was offered a job with Thomas Cook. I am delighted and really feel the Wings Alliance helped me secure this job.”
