One Air to equip students, instructors and mechanics with Tecnam facemask

Tecnam facemask One Air+VIDEO Spanish flight school One Air is to equip all of its student pilots, instructors and technicians with the new aeronautical protective mask designed and manufactured by Tecnam.

The Málaga-based ATO, also known as Grupo One Air Aviation, is believed to be the first in Spain to apply the active measure against COVID-19.

Initially, One Air has purchased a total of 300 masks to be delivered to all of their students, instructors, and mechanics free of charge.

In addition to protecting against COVID 19, Tecnam’s mask for pilots allows for better visibility in certain phases of flight, thus improving the safety of all students and instructors.

The new TFS-15 Face Shield provides eye protection against droplets and sprays of fluids containing biological agents, while also protecting the nose and mouth from direct inhalation of biological matter that may contain the coronavirus.

It has been designed to fully adapt to the face. A single elastomer fascia allows the face shield to be worn comfortably, thanks to the polyolefin foam that is widely used in medical applications. Ventilation is free but airstream is forced rearward.

Main features:

  • Full protection for face: eyes, nose and mouth
  • Reusable and recyclable
  • Comfortable and ergonomic
  • Able to be used while wearing spectacles
  • Latex free and solvent free
  • Washable and can be sterilised using ethylene oxide
