Alpha Aviation Academy cadets begin core flying skills training at the state-of-the-art Etihad Aviation Training facility in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi.

Etihad Aviation Training (EAT) and Alpha Aviation Academy, one of the largest multi pilot training programmes in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, have launched a partnership for the delivery of the Core Flying Skills components of Alpha’s pilot training programme.

EAT is a well-established Approved Training Organisation (ATO) with one of the largest training facilities in the Middle East region. Student pilots will spend three months in Al Ain, being trained on the Cessna, before returning to Alpha in Sharjah to start the Advance Flight Simulator training phases.

Alpha, a joint venture between the global pilot training Alpha Aviation Group and the UAE’s low-cost carrier Air Arabia, has more than 250 pilots in training who will join Air Arabia for training and airline experience as First Officers.

The academy currently has students from more than 62 nationalities and is seeing a growing number of female pilot students enrol in the pilot training programme. In addition to the flight training school in Al Ain, Etihad Aviation Training offers a state-of-the-art training facility in Abu Dhabi, featuring 11 full flight simulators.

Capt. Paolo La Cava, Director & Accountable Manager, Etihad Aviation Training, said,  “Etihad is pleased to collaborate with Alpha Aviation Academy to offer world-class aviation training. The team of talented and experienced instructors at Etihad and state-of-the-art facilities and training aircraft make this one of the best choices for aviation training in the world.”
