CESDA to provide Norwegian with graduate pilots

Spanish Approved Training Organisation (ATO) CESDA has been selected to provide Norwegian Air Shuttle with university graduate pilots by OSM Aviation, the crew management company.

CESDA is located in a strategic position at Reus International Airport, 60nm south-west of Barcelona, and is celebrating its 15th anniversary. It is part of the University Rovira i Virgili, offering Spain’s first degree on Commercial Aviation and Air Operations.

Norwegian Air Shuttle is the third largest low-cost carrier in Europe, sixth in the world, and has recently launched its long-haul expansion. In 2016, the airline was by far the fastest growing carrier in Spain, where it transported 6.82 million passengers, an increase of 30% over the previous year.

Dr Miquel Traveria, CESDA’s Director of External Relations, said, “Our aim is not only to train skills to fly, but to form a mature professional with a university-background knowledge, skills, attitude and values.

“We are proud to share these values with OSM Aviation and Norwegian, both of them being companies that prioritise human resources as the essential asset to optimize safety and efficiency in aviation”

Meet CESDA at Pilot Careers Live Madrid on 6 May 2017 and ask about pilot training at the university.
