BAA Training Vietnam and Bamboo Airways launch MPL training

Bamboo airwaysThe MPL (Multi-Crew Pilot Licence) is alive and well!  BAA Training has been approved to offer the MPL for Bamboo Airways in Vietnam.

BAA Training Vietnam and Bamboo Airways have signed a three-year agreement for training initial cadets for the MPL programme, the first of its kind in the Vietnamese aviation market.

Initially, the plan is to train approximately 100 student pilots within three years from 2023 to 2025.

Vytautas Jankauskas, CEO at BAA Training Vietnam, said, “Both BAA Training and Bamboo Airways share the same values. They ensure initial cadets get high-quality, comprehensive training complying with the industry regulatory requirements, where aviation safety practices play a fundamental role.

“Our collaboration with Bamboo Airways allows us to combine our efforts and introduce a new MPL training programme following EASA’s rules and regulations. We expect to have a new generation of pilots to serve the airline industry in Vietnam.”

Nguyen Manh Quan, CEO of Bamboo Airways, added, “We are now strengthening our time-tested partnership with BAA Training with the new MPL training programme. This will significantly assist us in shaping a new generation of professional and skillful pilots meeting international standards to best serve both domestic and international markets.”

The MPL is designed to use advanced pilot training methods. The training time is optimised to 18 months, along with up to 30% cost savings compared to traditional training programmes. All student pilots who graduate are guaranteed jobs.

Bamboo Airways applications
