Skyborne looks to a bigger electric future

Skyborne has announced an increased commitment to electric aviation by confirming the intent to purchase an additional 30 eFlyer training aircraft from Bye Aerospace.

This new agreement significantly expands upon Skyborne’s initial order of 10 eFlyers made in 2020, bringing the total number of these innovative aircraft to 40 for their training fleet in Vero Beach, Florida.

Lee Woodward, the CEO of Skyborne, highlighted that this move is in line with the company’s vision of revolutionising pilot training. By integrating more eFlyers into their fleet, Skyborne aims to lessen their environmental footprint and achieve sustainability goals.

The eFlyer is offering up to 80% savings in operating costs. Rod Zastrow, President of Bye Aerospace, said “Skyborne is one of the most respected flight schools internationally and this further order is another tremendous endorsement of our product. It builds on the excellent customer momentum we have built during 2023. We are thrilled to begin 2024 with aviation training leader Skyborne.”
