Heli Air launches Helicopter Training Scholarship Programme

According to the trainer, the programme will provide an opportunity for aspiring Commercial Helicopter Pilots to earn one of either a turbine type rating scholarship on the Robinson R66, an ATPL(H) full time ground school course scholarship, or a Commercial flying course (30 hours) scholarship.

Any student who has completed their full PPL (H) will Heli Air since January 1st 2015 will be able to apply, from any of Heli Air’s 9 UK bases.

Heli Air’s Managing Director Richard Packe said, “Students who have trained with Heli Air will always have an advantage when employment opportunities arise here. We get to know the pilots very well before they have even applied for a role, and they will have had the opportunity to learn about what it takes to work in a professional helicopter organisation. Heli Air has employed five newly qualified helicopter pilots in full time flying positions within the last 12 months, all of whom had just completed their course with Heli Air.”

Students who have trained with Heli Air as part of their degree with Bucks New University are also eligible to apply. Applications are being taken from now until September 2016 for those wishing to be considered for the October 2016 scholarship program.
