GetJet Airlines in Lithuania believes the aviation industry is starting to recover and that there will be great demand for pilots in the new few years.

Darius Viltrakis, GetJet Airlines CEO, says the market will face great demand for new pilots in the next few years. Therefore, now is the best time to start training.

“We believe that aspiring pilots starting their training will have excellent opportunities to enter the active aviation labour market,” he added.

GetJet Airlines is a Lithuanian airline company, providing ACMI and charter services since 2016. It operates a fleet consisting of young Airbus A320, A319 and A330 aircraft and provides services to Wizz Air, Teztour, LOT, Finnair, Spice Jet and others.

To back up this belief, the first group of cadet pilots linked with GetJet has started an Integrated ATPL course with Airhub Training in Vilnius, Lithuania. After successfully passed the assessment, seven students started ATP(A) integrated study programme, which takes just over two years.

Ruta Kulvinskaite, Airhub Training CEO, said, “The first group of students in the ATP(A) integrated training programme marks a significant milestone for our aviation training center. Although the pandemic slowed down our plans, we did not stop.”

Airhub Training is located at a convenient location near the Vilnius International Airport, where it conducts flight training.  The future airline pilots will get acquainted with the international airport environment, procedures, and communication from day one.

Applications for the second group, due to start in January, are already open. Click here for details.
