BALPA to reward outstanding airmanship

BALPA_logoThis year the British Airline Pilots’ Association (BALPA) has announced will be recognising the outstanding flying of its pilot members.

At BALPA’s 2014 Annual Delegate’s Conference the association will be presenting one of its members with an award for outstanding airmanship.

A statement from BALPA explained, “Our representatives do huge amounts of work to help members when things go wrong for our members often working tirelessly and, with your help, BALPA would also like to formally thank those that go above and beyond the call of duty. So as well as an award for Outstanding Airmanship, our Representative of the Year award will highlight the fantastic work reps carry out, often unsung, but always appreciated by those who are helped.”

The BALPA Awards Committee is inviting BALPA members to recommend a member or representative for an award in either of these two categories:

Outstanding Airmanship
Representative of the year

The shortlisted candidates will be put forward for a membership vote and the winner will be invited to the Annual Delegates’ Conference in November to receive their award.
