The British Airline Pilots Association (BALPA) and Seager, the organisers of the Pilot Careers Live events, are partnering on a new airline pilot recruitment event, to take place in early 2017.

Flight Crew Futures is a recruitment event designed to partner experienced pilots with airlines and recruiting agencies who are specifically looking for experienced flight crew to fill their right and left seats opportunities.

Darran Ward, event manager at Seager, explained, “Visiting pilots will get the chance to meet directly with pilot recruiters in a single venue, presenting a unique opportunity to get all the facts, career advice and answers in person, in an informal environment.

“As airlines are now starting to expand their fleets with state-of-the-art aircraft and new routes, together with indications of a global pilot shortage, there has never been a better time for experienced pilots looking for career progression opportunities in the UK and overseas,” he added.

Airlines which have confirmed their attendance at the event include CityJet, Emirates, Etihad, Flybe and Norwegian.

The ‘drop-in day’ format will include presentations throughout the day from recruiters. Each will deliver an overview of their current flight crew requirements, salary packages and employment terms. The presentation programme will also include several presentations by BALPA on topics relevant to today’s pilots.

Flight Crew Futures will take place on 16 February 2017 at the Hilton, London Gatwick Airport, doors open from 10am until 6.30pm. Registration is free, more details and the online booking form can be found here. Please check your experience matches recruiters’ minimum criteria before registering.
