Strong Turnout at Pilot Careers Live Madrid 2025

Pilot Careers Live Madrid returned on Saturday 5 April 2025 with a highly successful event at the NH Collection Madrid Eurobuilding, drawing an enthusiastic crowd of aspiring pilots, parents, and aviation professionals.

Attendance was notably up year on year, reflecting the growing interest in commercial aviation careers across Spain and Europe.

The event brought together a wide range of leading flight schools, airlines, and training providers under one roof—creating a unique one-stop-shop for future aviators looking to explore their training options, ask questions, and connect with experts.

A packed seminar programme ran throughout the day, offering valuable insight from some of the industry’s most influential voices. Highlights included:

  • 1030 – Albastar: Oriol Hernández, CEO of Albastar, opened the seminar programme with a behind-the-scenes look at the airline and his own career journey.

  • 1130 – Wizz Air: Benedek Tóth, Pilot Recruitment Manager, shared insights into the airline’s rapid growth and the opportunities available for new cadets.

  • 1230 – Ryanair: Angelo Currao, Pilot Recruitment Manager, gave practical advice for aspiring airline pilots and introduced Ryanair’s cadet pathways.

  • 1330 – COPAC: Airline captain and board member Pablo Poza spoke on behalf of the Colegio Oficial de Pilotos de la Aviación Comercial, offering valuable guidance on professional standards and pilot development in Spain.

  • 1430 – easyJet: Hannah Wells, Training Manager – Pilot Development, closed the day with a presentation on easyJet’s training programmes and the qualities they look for in future pilots.
