Two JOC scholarships on offer from Honourable Company of Air Pilots

In association with European Pilot Selection & Training (EPST), the Honourable Company of Air Pilots is offering two Jet Orientation Course scholarships.

The course is specifically designed to prepare newly qualified professional pilots for employment with an airline and is not type specific. “Pilots who have completed the EPST Airline Jet Foundation course (AJFC) have proved to be well-regarded by potential employers,” explains Rick Thomas of the Air Pilots. The scholarships are offered to aid those people for whom the financial burden of training might otherwise hinder their ambitions.

Applicants must satisfy the following criteria:

  • Evidence of independent Pre-Selection prior to commencement of training

  • Must have completed an EASA Commercial Pilot course with licence issued before 1 Sept 2016

  • Average Ground School pass mark of 85% or higher at ATPL level with no resits

  • Average assessment of 3 (good) or better in Simulator Performance, Progress Test scores and Team Instrument Rating and Commercial Skills Test pass at first attempt.

  • Overall course flying assessment at average 3 (good) or better.

Candidates should understand that preference may well be given to candidates who have not previously completed a JOC course.

The closing date for applications is 28 September 2016. Applicants can find more information and apply at www.airpilots.org/career-matters/scholarships/
