Virtual Aviation launches Jet Orientation Courses

virtualflightFlight training provider Virtual Aviation has announced the launch of Jet Orientation Courses at its new Cambridge Airport Training Centre.

From 26 September, Virtual Aviation will be offering Jet Orientation Courses every week, using their Next Generation Boeing 737-800 flight simulator.

Jet Orientation Courses (JOC) enable ab-initio commercial pilots to transition from flying propellor-powered aircraft to jets, and a JOC is typically completed before a pilot would commence a type rating.

“Our instructors have developed this new Jet Orientation Course from scratch in order to make it as relevant as possible to modern airline operations,” said Training Manager Mark Green.

Virtual Aviation is due to receive a second multi-million pound flight simulator, a brand-new Airbus A320, in Spring 2014.This, coupled with the recruitment of twelve more instructors and the addition of MCC courses, will increase its training capability to 600 students each year.
