Skyborne Airline Academy launches training funding

Cadet pilots looking to train with Gloucestershire Airport-based Skyborne Airline Academy will be able to borrow up to £200,000 to pay for their ATPL course.

The debt will be secured against a residential property and is offered by Optimum Credit, a leading UK provider of second charge mortgages.

Ian Cooper, chief operating officer, Skyborne Airline Academy, said, “At Skyborne, we believe there should be no barriers in place that prevent our most promising applicants from joining our programmes, which is why we are working with a number of financial institutions to provide innovative funding solutions.

“Our partnership with Optimum Credit will assist cadets in paying for their course, as they are dealing with a second charge mortgage specialist. We are looking forward to introducing this funding solution to cadets when our EASA Integrated ATPL course launches in the Spring.”

Through the partnership with Optimum Credit, cadets can borrow the full amount of course fees up to £200,000, subject to status, and will have the opportunity to speak with one of Optimum’s fully qualified advisors.
