Now that’s a result: all APS MCC graduates pass Ryanair selection

VA airline training

All, 100%, every single pilot. No one missed out. You’d have to say, ‘That’s a result!’

This is the news that of the first batch of VA Airline Training’s Ryanair Mentored Programme APS MCC graduates who undertook Ryanair pilot selection this month, ALL have been selected to join the airline. Now the successful graduates will undertake a B737 type rating.

VA Airline Training pioneered the new EASA Airline Pilot Standards Multi-crew Cooperation Course (APS MCC) in the UK in 2018. Last year VA became the first ATO globally to offer APS MCC training for both the B737NG and the A320.

VA’s APS MCC courses (airline mentored and whitetail) start weekly at the company’s training centre at Cambridge City Airport, UK. Courses alternate between the B737 NG and A320 type-specific simulators.

Anthony Petteford, VA Airline Training MD, was understandably delighted. He said, “We were super-excited to learn of the achievements of our first Ryanair mentored graduate pilots in Dublin.

“They are testament to the clear focus on core competencies developed during APC MCC training and how this focussed course also meets the aspirations of Ryanair; demonstrating that the mentored programme clearly works.”
