Meet Ryanair’s pilot recruiter at VA’s careers event

VA airline training

VA Airline Training (VA) will hold its first careers event of 2020 at its Cambridge Training Centre on Saturday 8 February 2020 – with special guest Colm Judge, Ryanair’s pilot recruitment officer.

The event will provide an opportunity for those pilots already in training to tour VA’s APS MCC training facilities, try their hand at the controls of VA’s Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 NG simulators, and meet the VA team and VA graduates now flying with the airlines.

On the day there will be presentations from VA’s managing director, Anthony Petteford and Colm Judge, pilot recruitment officer for Ryanair who will be VA’s Airline Guest of Honour.

Petteford is one of the most experienced people in the flight training world and will provide an industry update including insights into the current opportunities for newly qualified pilots, as well as explain the ethos behind VA’s approach to training.

VA was the first EASA training provider to be given approval to deliver the APS (Airline Pilot Standards) MCC course.  Since its introduction, VA graduates have secured employment with airlines such as Ryanair, British Airways, easyJet, Jet2.com and Flybe.

VA’s career days are designed for CPL/IR holders (or those who are close to that stage in their training) looking for the right training provider to complete their training journey.
