airBaltic Training, a subsidiary of the Latvian airline airBaltic, is so pleased with its newly-delivered six Diamond DA40 NG single-engine aircraft and one DA41-V1 twin that they’ve ordered three more aircraft.

The latest delivery also included one Diamond DSIM flight simulator. The new order is due to be delivered in 2020.

Pauls Calitis of airBaltic Flight Operations, said, “Our state-of-the-art Diamond Aircraft fleet is one the success factors for the airBaltic Pilot Academy.”

The all-composite Diamond aircraft are equipped with Garmin G1000 NXi glass cockpits and jet-fuel Austro engines. Nearly 1,000 DA42s have been delivered since its introduction more than 14 years ago, and more than 2,000 Diamond DA40s are in worldwide service.
