TAG’s latest in-house pilot takes to the sky

TAG Aviation, global business jet operator and maintainer, has trained its first in-house ‘local talent’ pilot, through the TAG Trained Pilot Scheme.

Angel Wun is the latest member of the programme and will gain her first type rating on a Gulfstream 650 this month at CAE Singapore.

Angel spent time instructing in TAG’s sister company, Flight Training Adelaide (FTA) since 2019, finishing her tour as a ‘Grade Two’ Instructor with Instrument and multi-engine approvals. Angel was also awarded the Sir Donald Anderson Award in 2022 with her CASA ATPL results.

Angel said, “I shall always be extremely grateful and honoured for the opportunity and resources TAG has given me to fly as an instructor, obtaining both CASA ATPL  and FAA ATP theory and now the type rating on a G650. I want to thank TAG for their dedication and nurturing me as a cadet pilot, I am so proud to be part of this amazing programme and look forward to flying a TAG aircraft in the spirit and endeavour TAG upholds”.

Angel is the third pilot after two other students, Tinny Tse and Lawrence Lau, to fly for TAG. These previous cadets are both type-rated on a Global 6000 and flying on the TAG fleet.  The latest candidate is Jonathan Tam, who started the training last year and is currently instructing at FTA.
