The Jet2.com pilot apprenticeship scheme is open for applications. The northern UK-based airline describes the apprenticeship as ‘an outstanding opportunity to develop a long term career with an award winning leisure airline and tour operator.’
The Apprenticeship will begin at Leeds Bradford International Airport and our Commercial Office in Leeds, where pilot apprentices will undertake a planned schedule geared towards providing maximum exposure to the full range of Jet2.com business areas, incluing Cabin Crew, Finance, Human Resources, Jet2holidays and Engineering. Pilot apprentices will then support a wide range of Operational Teams, undertaking duties in Flight Planning, at the new Training Centre in Bradford and the Crew rooms across the airline’s Northern bases.
On successful completion of the Apprenticeship, Jet2.com will provide apprentices with a fully bonded Type Rating, and pilots will enter the world of commercial aviation as a Second Officer.
Successful candidates will already have a UK Frozen ATPL and Medical and a valid UK driving licence. Along with this, you will have completed an MCC and JOC course. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience of office IT systems. In addition, you must be flexible as the airline may require you to work from any of Jet2’s Northern bases.
