Flybe to employ CTC Wings “whitetail” graduates

unnamed-1Flybe and CTC have jointly announced that the regional airline is now employing CTC Wings “whitetail” graduates for the first time.

Pilots who completed their airline pilot training through CTC Aviation’s CTC Wings Integrated ATPL Route are put forward for airline placement towards the end of their training by CTC Aviation’s graduate placement team. The company facilitates opportunities with a number of Partner airlines, but this is the first time such an opportunity has been made available to join Flybe. The first group of pilots to be selected by Flybe will be ready for operational flying on the airline’s Dash 8 fleet by Spring 2015.

The first graduates of Flybe and CTC’s partially sponsored ATPL Route celebrated their achievements at CTC Aviation’s annual graduation ceremony last month. Additional CTC Wings trainees destined for Flybe are currently at various phases of their training with CTC Aviation at the company’s Crew Training Centres in the UK and New Zealand.

Captain James Smart, Head of Crew Training for Flybe will be the Guest Speaker on Saturday 31 January at CTC Aviation’s Crew Training Centre – Southampton (UK). Captain Smart will be joined by a team of CTC WINGS graduate pilots already flying with Flybe and, together with speakers from CTC Aviation and the Aviation Skills Partnership (the team behind CTC Aviation’s optional BSc (Hons) Degree), they will be on hand to answer questions throughout the day. Those interested in attending the careers event should register through CTC Aviation’s website in advance. For more information and to register for the CTC Aviation Careers Event on 31 January, visit ctcaviation.com/wings.
