Flybe & CTC Wings announce part-sponsored cadet programme

flybe400Flybe and CTC Aviation have announced the Flybe CTC Wings part-sponsored cadet programme.

The part-sponsored programme will provide selected pilots with a significant financial contribution towards the training costs and see graduates operating as First Officers with Flybe by the end of 2015. The part-sponsorship means that Flybe will make a contribution of £23,760 (including VAT) towards the cost of each cadet’s training with CTC Aviation. The part sponsored monies will be repaid to Flybe from the qualified pilot’s salary using a salary sacrifice scheme over a period of five years.

Ian Baston, Director of Flight Operations – Flybe, explained, “Flybe and CTC Aviation share the same philosophy when it comes to ab-initio training. Both companies are equally determined to ensure that tomorrow’s pilots are offered the very best, airline-focused training. We have agreed a financial package for those applicants that meet the high standards both companies expect and we are delighted to once again be in a position to offer yet more aspiring pilots a great start to their careers”

Successful applicants of the joint CTC Aviation – Flybe selection process will complete the CTC WINGS ATPL Integrated Route syllabus of training at CTC Aviation’s Crew Training Centres in the United Kingdom and New Zealand. Flybe will deliver the Q400 type rating phase at their Exeter-based academy, and graduates will begin their careers as Flybe Q400 co-pilots operating from one of Flybe’s seven UK bases.

This year’s application window will open from 1 – 30 April 2014
