Flightlogger ApS will be attending the Dublin Professional Flight Training Exhibition, to inform visitors on its new software solution for flight academies.
Flightlogger ApS was founded in 2011 and specialises in tailoring software solutions for flight academies via cloud technology. This enables all training documentation to be available to all the involved parties, on smartphones, tablets and computers.
The company was founded in 2011 and is an inspirational tale for start-ups in aviation and other industries. The man behind the company, Kenneth Normann Jeppesen, is a trained pilot, flight instructor and former Sergeant in the Royal Danish Airforce. It was back in 2010, when on his way to a marathon in Amsterdam with friend and software developer Benjamin Jørgensen, he realised that there were many factors which hampered the ease of an acquisition of a pilots licence, including messy logbooks, the unavailability of student folders and educational material. He realised he wanted to find a way that he could make all this information available in one place, and believed his idea could make a huge difference for flight academies all over the world.
Fast forward to 2014 and the company now employs 8 people. Based in Denmark on the outskirts of Århus, the company has 11 flight academies using its software in Denmark, Germany, England and Norway – and the company says it is still growing at pace.
Kenneth now sees the software as a solution to the many trails of paperwork generated through the pilot training process. He explains, “The software helps the academies to save a ton of money while eliminating all paperwork and therefore decreasing the huge amount of time-waste on documentation done by the instructors and future pilots.
“Since we started, we’ve experienced a high demand for our solutions as academies realise the potential in our concept. We believe it’s a great tool to streamline current tedious processes in daily pilot training operations while saving money and increasing the quality in educating pilots.
“Our software solution is not only limited to flight academies but can with great effect be used by AOCs as well as ATOs. European Helicopter Center A/S is one of our clients in Norway where they have an AOC and ATO combined in one location. Our software enables them to always have a cross reference on these two business areas and allows them to keep their entire fleet and personnel up to date, whether it would be students, instructors or experienced pilots flying operational flights.”
