Ethiopian Airlines begins training B777 Pilots in Egyptair Training Centre

Ethiopian Airlines has signed a simulator training contract with Egyptair Training Centre for B777 cockpit crew initial and recurrent training.

This month, Egyptair Training Centre and the Ethiopian Airlines have finished the contracting phase for training the Ethiopian Airlines’ pilots on the B777 Simulator.

The Ethiopian Airlines fleet contains 5 B777 aircrafts and there are more to come, each requires training programs for six crew members.

This co-operation is one result of the new direction of Egyptair to Africa, which includes other aviation training fields.

The B777 Flight Simulator in Egyptair started working in December 2002. The simulator is a level D simulator, manufactured by Thales Training & Simulation, and approved by the European and Egyptian Authorities.
