easyJet and CTC have recently announced a new easyJet MPL cadet programme. The programme will train an initial intake of 36 pilots to be qualified for line operations with easyJet by late 2014/early 2015.
The Multi-crew Pilot’s Licence (MPL) syllabus has been developed as a collaboration between easyJet and CTC, in accordance with UKCAA regulations. The programme focuses on multi-crew operations and moves the pilot from “core”, light aircraft, foundation flying skills on to the Airbus A320 flight simulators using the airline’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). easyJet MPL cadets will train at CTC’s Crew Training Centres in the United Kingdom and New Zealand on a training programme that lasts approximately 17 months.
Candidates who pass both CTC and easyJet’s selection processes will enter into a three-year renewable contract, on completion of training and subject to proficiency, to fly for easyJet through CTC FlexiCrew and will become eligible for a permanent easyJet contract within that period.
easyJet is currently recruiting 200 pilots with a cross section of experience levels – both qualified and cadet pilots. The easyJet MPL cadet programme is open to applicants over the age of 18 who have the unrestricted right to live and work in the EEA. The application window for 2013 will be open for a limited period only. For more information and to apply visit ctcwings.com/easyJet
