CTC Aviation has added a further Level D Airbus A320 full flight simulator to its fleet. The simulator has been installed at the company’s Crew Training Centre in Southampton, UK where more than 3,000 trainee and qualified pilots from airlines around the world are trained each year. Level D certification from the UKCAA certifies the maximum possible level of reality for a device of this kind.
Captain Mike Redrupp, CTC Aviation’s Head of Training and Chief Operating Officer – Airline Training commented, “The Multi-crew Pilot Licence is proving to be an increasingly popular licence route for our Partner airlines around the world. The airline-focused demands of this training philosophy demand increased time on high fidelity, type specific simulators. Furthermore, as our business has expanded internationally, our customer requirements for all types of training activity have increased.”
The new simulator combines simulator fidelity including windshear warning, TCAS, EGPWS and CAT III landing capability, with an intuitive instructor interface.
This investment sees CTC Aviation’s full flight simulator fleet grow to a total of four and complements the range of flight training devices distributed between the company’s Crew Training Centres in the United Kingdom, Hamilton in New Zealand and Phoenix, Arizona in the USA.
