Atlantic Flight Training (AFT) is hosting its first ever open day, taking place on Saturday 12 May. This informative but informal day is a great way for potential new recruits to visit the AFT flight base at Coventry Airport. This event will allow prospective students to meet the knowledgeable team of instructors, students and graduates at AFT and see the on-site facilities – including the fleet of aircraft and simulators.
The open day will give would-be pilots a valuable opportunity to find out more about what it takes to become a pilot, and specifically an AFT pilot. Current students and recent graduates will be on hand to give advice and share their experiences of flight training with AFT. Information on the various courses will be available and student mentors will explain the options on offer to ensure students chose the most appropriate course. AFT’s team of ground and flight instructors has a wealth of experience in civil and military aviation.
Candidates will also be offered an initial assessment that will test their basic pilot skills and aptitude to determine whether or not they have what it takes to become an AFT cadet.
Atlantic Flight Training believes in providing a personal, hands-on training experience, which is an approach aimed at ensuring students have an enjoyable time whilst they study.
The facilities at Coventry Airport include a range of advanced educational and navigation aids, simulator bays, flight operations, briefing rooms and classrooms.
Established in 1992, AFT is a JAA approved training organisation.
Working closely with sister company Ayla Aviation Academy (Jordan), the majority of the schooling will take place at the training facility at King Hussein International Airport in Aqaba. Jordan provides an ideal location for flight training with year-round sunshine, providing perfect flying conditions with great views over the Red Sea.
The Atlantic Flight Training assessment team will be touring the UK throughout 2012. Further information on dates and locations can be found at www.flyaft.com
